Accessories with high priority on the new Democratic Ban list: Collapsible and folding stocks, compensators, brakes, hi-cap magazines, flash suppressors, handle grips, pistol grips; ammo above .30; "kinetic" ammo such as .22 mag, 17 HMR and 5-7; shotgun tubes above 5 rounds; ghost ring sights; "high power" optics (above 2x in some cases!); bayonet lugs, accessory rails, double stack mags; trigger or DAO safeties; "LE" items; gun packaging including more than one mag; detachable magazines for calibers over .30; "assault" rifle accessories including any semi above .22 or 5-7 (and in some cases 17); many categories of personal protection ammo including hydra shok, hollow point, scored or cut, and numerous others; all speed loaders, including revolver loaders and moon clips; concealed carry rigs including shoulder, pocket and low profile belt holsters; many others.
The most shocking list is to simply compare the current California dealer regs with the national ATF regs: The complete CA list is a larger BOOK than the entire national ATF regs for the rest of the whole nation! Realizing that these bans in no way stop crime or make streets safer, California has now turned it's "bans" into revenue producers: allowing anything in that a manufacturer is willing to pay $50,000 a year to "get on the list." That payment is for EACH variation of a model, including finish! For example, a matte black Firestorm is legal in LA, a nickle or duo tone finish isn't. What has this to do with safety? NOTHING. The Pelosi crowd that now controls Congress will be quick to look at similar NATIONAL registration regs as fund raisers and hidden taxes on the industry just like tobacco taxes.
Do these taxes actually help the national debt? Heck NO! The bureaucracy needed to police and monitor compliance and collection costs more than the revenue generated. Just look at California's broken State budget for the most relevant example!
